The filmmakers Eric Daniel Metzgar and Steve Maing have created a new documentary, The Great Experiment, which focuses on America during the early years of the first Trump administration. The film, which avoids heavy interpretation, allows viewers to observe fragments of a country in motion and find their own through line. The filmmakers aim to create a document of life in America so future generations can see what it really felt like to be there. They also aim to show the diversity of what Americans think, say, and not to editorialize it too much. The documentary's screening at Full Frame Documentary Film Festival will be broadcast on Friday.
