The $115 million health care facility, the Culinary Health Center, is being built on a former high-rise project site near the Orleans in Las Vegas. The two-story, roughly 99,000-square-foot health care center is being constructed on a nearly 10-acre plot at 4805 W Tropicana Ave. The facility, which will serve members of the union's Culinary and Bartenders unions and their families, will be open to the general public. The union's pension fund, the Western Unite Here and Employers Pension Fund, owns the site and is the tenant. The project is expected to be finished in June and will serve around 120,000 people in Southern Nevada.
