Local school has special interest in moon flight

The Artemis II mission, which sent humans further into space than ever before, successfully landed on Earth on April 10, 2026. The mission was led by the sister of Lisa Watkins, who served on the Navy ship that retrieved the astronauts. This is only the beginning of the Artemis Missions, with plans to test commercial docking systems before landing on the moon surface with companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin. The first mission will take place on the dark side of the moon on April 1, 2025.
