On March 2, Secaucus Police attempted to stop a car for an observed motor vehicle violation, but the vehicle failed to stop and eluded the police. A 21-year-old man from Union City, Dereck Angeles, was arrested for eluding and was released from police custody. On March 3, a man from Clifton, NJ was taken into custody for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $4,000 with a 10% option, but was released. Other arrests occurred on March 4 at 8:53 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, a 31-year old man from North Bergen, NJ for driving while intoxicated and an additional 5 motor vehicle summonses, and a 35-year man from Saddle Brook, NJ. Police also responded to a report of yelling at a man yelling at him. Pedro Lamotte of Newark was arrested on March 6 for Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and two outstanding warrants for Bias and Harassment were also found to be related to an aggravated assault incident.
