Car crash investigation yields man wanted by county for felony offense: Solon police blotter

Solon police have reported several incidents, including a car crash where a Chevrolet Cruz was hit by a stopped car and a passenger in the Cruz was wanted on a warrant issued by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for a felony theft offense. The man, 25, was arrested and turned over to county deputies. The Cruz's driver, a Cleveland woman, was cited for contributing to the crash and was released. An officer stopped a silver Hyundai Santa Fe for displaying expired plates and found a loaded semi-automatic pistol under the passenger seat. The driver, 39-year-old Warrensville Heights resident, was charged with improper handling of a firearm, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and driving with expired plates. At 4:10 p.m. April 23, a Solon woman reported that someone or something broke the window of her 2017 Alpha Romeo sedan.
