The Huntington Hotel in San Francisco's Nob Hill neighborhood has officially reopened following a major renovation. The hotel, which opened in 1922 as apartments and converted into a hotel two years later, shut its doors in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and remained shuttered until this week following new owners and a million-dollar renovation. Mayor Daniel Lurie attended the celebration, which many believe represents a sign of San Francisco’s rise. The Hotel Council of San. Francisco also highlighted the rising hotel occupancy rates in 2024. The iconic sign of the hotel's iconic opening is seen as a symbol of its rebirth.
