Exclusive: SpaceX conquered the stars, now eyes bigger opportunity in AI

SpaceX, the company behind the rocket company that revolutionised space travel and revolutionized space travel, is now focusing on building artificial intelligence for the enterprise. The company estimates its total addressable market could be as much as $28.5 trillion, according to a regulatory filing reviewed by Reuters. The filing also revealed that SpaceX expects that more than 90% of that market, or $26.5 billion, could be from the AI sector. An IPO is expected this summer, aiming to raise about $75 billion, making it the largest initial public offering in history. The firm is also planning to use xAI, an AI research company founded by SpaceX founder Elon Musk in early 2023, to develop an autonomous platform it is developing with Tesla. The AI for enterprise market is currently dominated by companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI.
