Driver charged with killing bicyclist in Heart of Chicago hit-and-run crash, police say

Police have charged 23-year-old Chicago man Jose Cruz with first-degree murder for allegedly killing a bicyclist in a hit-and-run accident on the Southwest Side in September. The alleged incident occurred in the 2300-block of West 21st Place and was reported to have occurred shortly after 3:15 p.m. The driver allegedly fled the scene and was arrested on Thursday morning.
