The Cross-Program Integrated Data System (CPIDS) is a collection of digital solutions developed by the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) group in the Human Systems Integration Division. The system was recommended by the Columbia Accident Investigation Board (CAIB) for use of the data stored in multiple databases for management, engineering, or safety decisions. The CPIDS project uses cost-effective technology to share data between disparate computer systems and minimize data conversions and process burdens. The primary product, Mission Assurance Systems, is flexible and configurable to support many programs, projects, and facilities across the agency.
