The long-awaited Rapid A-Line, a bus rapid transit route from South Downtown to the Atlanta Beltline's Southeast Trail, is now operational. The route is a test case for a mode of transit that could help people get around faster without driving. Not all the bus-only lanes have been painted red and several raised platforms are still under construction.
