Charles Schwab CEO Rick Wurster has revealed a surprising trend among Gen Z investors, born between 1997 and 2012, who are beginning their investing journeys far earlier than previous generations. This early participation is leading to a growing presence on trading platforms. The younger investors are 45% more likely to start investing by age 21 than millennials were at the same age. Approximately 33% of new retail households joining Schwab are under 30, while one in six new clients is younger than 24. Despite global concerns, investors continue to invest in equities despite the ongoing U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict and volatile oil prices, according to Bank of America data. Wursters warned that this trend could change if economic fundamentals deteriorate significantly.
