Chef Daniel Jackson and restaurateur Giorgio Bakatsias are working on the new Geo's Tavern & Oyster Bar in Chapel Hill, a new restaurant aimed at locals and visitors. The restaurant is located in a shopping center at 1118 Environ Way, near the intersection of N.C. 54 and 15-501. No firm opening date has been set for April. The menu will highlight North Carolina tradition and products, particularly oysters and seafood. The bar in the tavern is designed for spontaneous connection and to showcase North Carolina's seafood and meat. Bakatsas is known for his Greek roots and for his innovative cooking techniques.
