Nariman Al-Issa, a Syrian girl who lost four members of her family during an Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs, is now out of school and living on the street among the 1 million displaced by the Israeli military's expanding air strikes and mass evacuation orders. Her family had fled Beirut in 2024 during a conflict between Israel and Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, but returned home when the two-month war ended. They now live off donations distributed by aid groups after losing their jobs as cleaners and concierges. Over 1,200 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon since March 2, including at least 11 Syrians.
