A woman was allegedly kidnapped and held for days at her home in Antioch, California, and sexually assaulted for several days. The woman managed to escape after her alleged abductor, John Peterson, allegedly returned her to his van after a few minutes. Peterson, who is currently in jail with bail set at $19.9 million, faces charges of kidnapping, sexual battery, false imprisonment, assault, illegal gun possession, and multiple counts of forcible rape. The alleged abduction occurred on Valentine's Day and Peterson allegedly met the woman and forced her into his trunk of his vehicle. Police have since located and interviewed eyewitnesses who corroborated the woman's story.
