No ICE agents at RIC ‘so far’ despite Trump’s announcement amid partial government shutdown, spokesperson says

The Richmond International Airport (RIC) has not seen U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents providing security support despite President Donald Trump's announcement amid the partial government shutdown. The partial shutdown began on February 14 and since then, over 400 Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers have quit their positions. A spokesperson for RIC stated that the airport has been "fortunate" to have sufficient staffing for timely security screening given seasonal travel plans.
