Israel's national airline, El Al Airlines, will operate at 5% of capacity after the government reduced traffic at Ben Gurion Airport. The decision was made following a security assessment and resulted in a reduction in the number of takeoffs and landings from Ben Gurion. El Al has been operating repatriation flights since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israel air war with Iran and has called for the opening of Ramon Airport near the Red Sea city of Eilat as an alternative to Ben Gurion. The airline plans to operate limited flights only to key destinations such as New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London, Paris, Rome and Athens.
