A survey by personal finance website WalletHub has named Yonkers as one of the happiest cities in the U.S., ranking 38 and 59 respectively. The study found that location, along with a positive mental state, healthy body, strong social connections, job satisfaction, and financial well-being, can significantly increase happiness. However, the study also found that people who make $75,000 a year do not increase their satisfaction from that amount. The report compared 180 of the largest US.S. cities to 29 key indicators of happiness, including depression rates, income growth, and average daily leisure time.
