James Valentine, Sax Player With Models and Beloved Radio Presenter, Dies at 64

Australian artist, author, and broadcaster James Valentine, known for his contributions to music, has died at 64 following a battle with cancer. Valentine was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame as a member of Models and a prominent recording and touring artist through the 1980s. He also hosted radio and television programs across the ABC for 30 years, earning him millions of fans and international awards. Valentine's most successful album, Out of Mind, Out Of Sight, was released in 1986 and had three domestic top 40 hits. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and New South Wales premier Chris Minns led tributes to Valentine.
