Concerns are growing along Boulder Highway, where businesses have reported ongoing issues related to the unhoused community. These include car break-ins, property damage, attempted break-in at business back doors, and direct threats. Since the start of the year, there have been numerous incidents, including seven larcenies, three burglaries and two motor vehicle thefts. Robert Banghart, vice president of community and government affairs for Shine A Light, said the area has long faced challenges and reflects a broader issue across the valley and the country. The nonprofit will host its annual fundraising gala on April 19 at Notoriety in downtown Las Vegas.
