Hudson County Pair Charged With Mail Thefts

A traffic stop in Hudson County led to the arrest of Gleona Agaj, Salah Altaweel, who may have stolen mail from at least five New Jersey towns and several other states. Both were charged with mail theft and conspiracy. Their car contained mail from several towns, including Weehawken, Union City, Secaucus, North Bergen, and Jersey City. Police also found items associated with "mailbox fishing" used to steal mail. The alleged ringleader has not yet been arrested.
