Feds accept Minnesota's corrective action plan for Medicaid-based programs

The US government has approved Minnesota's corrective action plan for its Medicaid-based programs, but the status of $243 million in deferred federal funding is uncertain. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) stated that Minnesota had made satisfactory revisions to its corrective actionplan and had also met milestones outlined in the document. Last month, the administration announced it was withholding roughly a quarter of a billion dollars in Medicaid funds from Minnesota due to fraud concerns. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison sued to block the deferral, but it is uncertain how this approval from CMS will affect the case.
