Ohio's shifting legal marijuana landscape

The Ohio legislature has implemented Senate Bill 56, which significantly alters the state's marijuana rules. The measure includes restrictions on what, where, and how Ohioans can consume marijuana, including intoxicating hemp products, and lower maximum THC potency for extracts. It also prohibits smoking or vaping in public places. The law is already facing legal challenges, including a judge in Sandusky County ruled against local enforcement of the hemp ban, arguing it was discriminatory to differentiate THC from THC derived from marijuana. Most of the marijuana tax revenue will still go to cities where dispensaries are located.
