The Republic of Ireland's transport minister, Darragh O'Brien, announced that flights between Londonderry and Dublin are expected to resume in October. This follows a failed attempt to revive the service in 2016. The current route is funded by the London government under a Public Service Obligation (PSO) which supports flights deemed non commercially viable.
