‘Scary Movie’ Shifts Release to Early June, Will Now Open Opposite ‘Masters of the Universe’

The sixth film in the Scary Movie franchise, originally titled Scary Horror 6, will now be released on June 5. The film, written, produced and starring Marlon Wayans, is set to compete with other films including Masters of the Universe, Animal Friends, and Power Ballad. This change comes after the online trailer release for the film was confirmed. Paramount Pictures announced that it will release the film theatrically on the same weekend as other releases including Universal's Disclosure Day. The cast includes Wayans and Shawn Wayans.
