The event will feature 475 American political, cultural, and religious leaders reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The president of Christians Engaged, Bunni Pounds, said the event needed a special person to read 2 Chronicles 7:11–22, a crucial passage for the body of Christ. She said that the president's participation shows that faith matters in the United States and that faith is important for both personal and national life. Other participants include Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
