The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will be followed by the unveiling of Gears of War: E-Day Direct, a "deep-dive" into the franchise after six years. The Direct will offer a detailed look at the shooter's origin and release date. This will be Xbox's first new game since its spin-off of Gears Tactics in 2020 and its first main game since Gears 5 launched in 2019. The company also plans to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special event at Xbox FanFest.
