Raleigh homers in 2nd straight game as Mariners look for answers

The Seattle Mariners lost 5-2 to the A's in a series series, but there is hope that their all-world catcher, Raleigh, may be unlocking something at the plate. His second consecutive homer came from a first-pitch slider from left-hander Jacob Lopez in the fifth inning, which he tied the game at 2-2. This is not the first time that Raleigh has hit the ball; he was also missing on 37.7% of the in-zone fastballs he'd swung at, a significant increase from the 14.9% league average and his 20.2% rate last year.
