The parents of a young boy who experiences up to 50 seizures are calling for better awareness about epilepsy. The study aims to identify symptoms and features of early-onset epilepsy in young children that can predict later conditions. The seizures have caused damage to the boy's brain and he has to take five different types of medication daily. The researchers hope this will alleviate uncertainty for the thousands of children diagnosed with epilepsy before they are even age.
