Man charged after DWI crash that left infant with skull fracture, mother with injuries, records show

36-year-old Reading Cotton has been charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle following a DWI crash that left an infant in a car seat with a skull fracture and brain swelling. The accident injured three people in a Nissan sedan, including the infant. All lanes of the East Freeway were closed as officials investigated the incident. The infant's mother and another passenger were also hospitalized for their injuries.
