The Philadelphia 76ers were defeated 108-102 by the Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, despite star center Joel Embiid being sidelined due to a right ankle sprain and hip soreness. Despite this, Knicks head coach Mike Brown stated that the 76ers still had plenty of firepower, despite Embriid's absence. However, the team struggled in the fourth quarter, managing only 12 points in the final quarter, shooting a combined 4-of-19. The Knicks took a narrow 2-0 lead in the best-o-seven series after a one-point deficit before rallying to victory. Despite Andre Drummond and Adem Bona starting in Embiig's place, both struggled with foul trouble throughout the game.
