Oxford physicist, Richard Wilkinson, claims that a quantum chip could enhance the human brain and thereby extend the limits of human perception beyond current biological limits. His theory suggests that a person could operate using quantum processes similar to those seen in the famous double-slit experiment, which proved that quantum objects could be in two places at the same time, a property known as quantum superposition. This could enable humans to experience hidden layers of reality that are currently inaccessible. Wilkinson's theory aligns with the concept of quantum physics, where quantum physics' features like superposition, interference, and entanglement are an extension of the workings of our brain. Despite lack of direct experimental evidence, Wilkinson believes that our consciousness is the result of a large number of quantum-slits and other quantum experiments.
