Tiffany Henyard, the former'super mayor' of Dolton, Illinois, is running as the lone GOP candidate for Fulton County Commission’s District 5 in Georgia, after being rejected by 88 percent of her own voters. Henyard is accused of running a small Illinois town into a $3.6 million deficit, spending over $100,000 on lavish travel in five months, triggering an FBI investigation, and hiding the municipality's financial situation from the public. She registered to vote in Georgia just two days after losing her Democratic primary. Despite not being criminally charged, Henyard has not lived in the district long enough to establish roots. She is also facing a federal investigation into $200,000 payment to a contractor whose owner was convicted of bribery.
