A tornado struck a home in Kay County, Oklahoma, just south of the Kansas Oklahoma state line on Thursday night. The home was destroyed, damaged, and debris was thrown through the windshield of Pete Henderson's pickup truck. Despite the damage, Henderson managed to escape and salvage his 1956 Chevy, which is currently undergoing a restoration project. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on the way home from Ponca City and was witnessed by Henderson and his wife, Rima Bellmard-Mathews, along with their daughter and grandson. The powerline near their driveway was knocked down during the storm, which has not been restored.
