Federal agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Secret Service have interviewed Wisconsin brewery owner, Kirk Bangstad, over a social media post about a potential assassination attempt on President Donald Trump. The interview followed an incident in which an armed man breached security at an event attended by Trump. Bangstad was interviewed at his brewery's tap room in Minocqua, led by a political action committee that supports liberal causes in the state. The agents questioned Bangstad and his attorney about the motivations behind the post, which included a reference to "a brother or sister in the Resistance" and suggested that Bangstad or anyone he knows intends to harm Trump or Vice President J.D. Vance. The post was widely criticized by the state Democratic Party and Democratic candidates for governor.
