Broadcom CEO Hock Tan sees AI chip revenue 'significantly' above $100 billion next year

Broadcom CEO Hock Tan has predicted that the artificial intelligence boom is gaining momentum, with AI chip revenue predicted to exceed $100 billion next year. This follows Broadcom's strong Q1 results, which saw a 29% increase in total sales to $19.3 billion. The company also noted that large customers are increasingly seeking their help in designing custom silicon. The CEO indicated that the company has secured the supply chain required to achieve this. While the AI revenue boost would primarily be from "just chips," Broadcom also makes significant contributions to digital signal processors, data processing units, and networking switches.
