OSU monitors weather ahead of spring game

The potential for thunderstorms at Ohio State University's spring game may dampen the excitement of the 40,000 fans expected at Ohio Stadium. Robert Armstrong, the Emergency Management Director for the university, said they are monitoring the weather closely and will resume play if there is a threat of lightning near campus. This is not an NCAA game so different to the rules governing the weather. The last time Ohio State had to delay a game due to lightning was in 2018. As of Friday evening, there were no plans to move the start time of the game or cancel it, but the university is monitoring the situation closely.
