President Donald Trump has called the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) a "paper tiger" and "cowards" over Europe's refusal to support securing the Strait of Hormuz as the U.S. and Israel continue to strike Iran. This comes despite Japan, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands expressing their readiness to contribute to efforts to keep the Strait open. Despite this, despite President Donald Trump insisting the war was won and Iran's military is weak, he has yet to declare victory.
