The Pentagon is set to honor two West Virginia National Guardsmen, 20-year-old Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom and 24-year Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, who were shot while on patrol in Washington, D.C. The ceremony will be presented by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey. The awards recognize non-combat heroism. Both soldiers were serving under President Trump's executive order to increase security in Washington. The event will be held in the Pentagon's Hall of Heroes, a space dedicated to honoring members of the U.S. military who have received the Medal of Honor.
