Pittsboro man charged with child sex crimes, SBI says

A North Carolina man, Mark Keeney, has been charged with two counts of felony solicitation of a child by computer and one count of felony indecent liberties with a child. This comes after an investigation into Keney in October 2025 found inappropriate communications with a minor on his computer. He is being held in the Randolph County Detention Center with no bond.
