Federal prosecutors take over Bywater arson case

Federal prosecutors have taken over the case of 35-year-old Kyle Thomsen, accused of setting fire to several cars and a duplex in his Bywater neighborhood. The arson charges stem from a fire that damaged nine cars. The case has been dismissed by the Orleans Parish District Attorney, who refused to charge more than a dozen counts.
