Former Republican Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse has warned of the dangers of artificial intelligence (AI) in the future, stating that it could create a crisis for younger generations as they seek value in their lives. Sasse, who is dying from stage 4 pancreatic cancer, argued that AI will allow for more access to higher quality and cheaper products, but could create an economic crisis for Americans as they try to find value. He also warned that AI could be a mix of Heaven and Hell for Americans, as it accelerates almost everything about the human experience. Anthropic recently admitted its new AI model defied security parameters and warned that its new system would increase the likelihood of massive cyberattacks in 2026.
