Jon Krakauer, author and author of "Into Thin Air," survived one of the deadliest disasters on Mount Everest 30 years ago, still worries about the climbing season due to a poor start due to the Khumbu Icefall closure, delaying acclimatization. He also expressed concern about a massive ice column that closed the treacherous route towards the start of the journey up Everest, which will have consequences for climbers who are 15 days behind schedule due to this closure. Krakau's bestselling memoir, "Inton Thin Air", about the 1996 tragedy, has been released a new edition. He still suffers from PTSD and has written about the tragedy in his book, "Ino ThinAir."
