The new ThinkPad T-series laptops, the workhorse of the line for decades, have been praised for their repair and upgrade capabilities by iFixit, a website that sells repair tools and parts from various brands. The latest 14-inch and 16-inch laptops were designed with more emphasis on repairability, incorporating iFixIt's own consulting in their designs. Despite this, despite having a business relationship with iFix it, the company's products don't get a free pass. The new T-Series laptops use the new LPCAMM2 standard for memory, which can hit higher speeds at lower power draws and takes up less volume than regular SO-DIMM modules while still being user-replaceable. The company's new products are set to be released in April, starting at around $1,500.
