The Los Angeles Dodgers are monitoring the injury of their star player, Will Smith, who has been sidelined due to back tightness and is expected to return to the team's lineup Monday. Manager Dave Roberts stated that Smith's injury is not expected to require an injured list stint. Smith, a three-time All-Star who started this year batting.266 with three home runs and 14 RBIs, is still the Dodgers' top catching option. If the Dodgers place him on the injured list, their minor-league replacement options include Seby Zavala, Chuckie Robinson and Eliezer Alfonzo.
