Dish TV Owner Loses 168,000 Pay-TV Subs in Q4, Records $17.6B in 2025 Impairments and Expenses

Charlie Ergen's company, EchoStar, reported a decrease in pay-TV subscribers in Q4, with 168,000 fewer subscribers than the previous year, and a record-breaking $17.6B in 2025. The company ended the year 2025 with 7.00 million pay TV subscribers, including 5.02 million Dish TV subscribers and 1.98 million Sling TV subscribers. Retail wireless subscribers decreased by approximately 9,000 in the fourth quarter, compared to an increase of 90,000 the year-ago period. The fourth-quarter loss widened to $14.50 billion from $119.55 million, primarily due to non-cash asset impairments and other expenses totalling approximately $18.09
