The Mark Zuckerberg-owned company, Meta, has been hit with a class-action lawsuit regarding its line of "smart" glasses. The lawsuit alleges that the company records intimate moments and sends footage to foreign contractors, who believe the footage includes explicit content such as bathroom visits and sexual encounters. The plaintiffs, Gina Bartone of New Jersey and Mateo Canu of California, argue that the advertising of the Meta AI smart glasses may confuse consumers and lead to confusion about the content. The suit also alleges that both Meta and the company that manufactures the smart glasses, Luxottica of America, have violated consumer protection laws.
