President Donald Trump has defended his comments earlier this week that he wasn't aware of Americans' financial situation during negotiations to end the Iran war, stating that his sole focus is preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. The comments were widely criticized by Democrats and many Republicans, while many Republicans defended him. In an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, Trump said he was aware of higher gas prices if it helped the U.S. achieve its goals in the Iran conflict.
