The Sie FilmCenter in Denver, Colorado, has undergone major upgrades to enhance the moviegoing experience at a cost of over $500,000. The upgrades include new screens, Christie 4K laser projection, enhanced sound, and new premium seating in the Clasen Screening Room. The improvements were supported by key donors including Liane and Robert Clasenhen, the Anna & John J. Sie Foundation, Mike Fries, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and the Colorado office of Film, Television and Media. These improvements were made in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the Sie Film Center in 2027. They are part of a film series celebrating Colorado's sesquicentennial summer celebration called the Colorado150, featuring notable films with Colorado ties. The event will also showcase short films, music videos, and presentations from filmmakers, artists, critics, and other Colorado creative workers.
