Four Republicans are vying for the position of Illinois governor, with former state Sen. Darren Bailey and DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick. Mendrick, who has served in the county for more than 30 years, said he has always been a financial crimes investigator and would implement a global job task analysis into the state's budget. Bailey also mentioned affordability, safety, and failure to address immigration issues. Both men believe that immigration raids are not the issue, but the issue is a result of JB Pritzker's intervention.
