The Connecticut state Senate has passed a bill aimed at protecting children from predators within youth camps. This follows a case where a camp counselor was charged with sexually assaulting several girls and a subsequent investigation revealed that a first selectman in the town did not remove the counselor from the camp. The bill was passed by the House of Representatives.
